Celebrating Community and Creativity: A Mural Festival Thank You

What a weekend! What a crew! We are indeed so fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate group of individuals come together to make our mural creation event a resounding success. As we reflect on this incredible journey, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a part in bringing this vision to life.

First and foremost, a big thank you to the incredible artists who lent their talent and creativity to this mural project: Eli, Daniel, Sergio, Tony, Ben, Kevin, Monty, Congo, Max Gilbert, and Nicole Anton. Your dedication and artistic flair transformed our vision into a stunning reality.

We also want to extend our appreciation to our generous paint sponsors: Golden Paint Works, Kobra Paint, Ace Hardware Baycity, Northeastern Baycity, and Sherwin William Baycity. Your support was instrumental in ensuring that our mural radiates with vibrant colors and intricate details.

Special thanks go to Marjo for connecting us with MDL Companies, who put their trust in this project. Mike and the entire MDL Companies team, we are grateful for your belief in our mission.

We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Frank for introducing us to Terry Dickinson, whose blessings made the City of Mural Festival possible. Terry, your support means the world to us.

Our event wouldn't have been possible without the support of our sponsors: Bay Area Community Foundation, United Bay Community Credit Union, Lucky Star Rental, J & J Express Home Improvements, and REMAX Results Bay City. Your commitment to our community and the arts is truly commendable.

A big shoutout to Studio 23/The Arts Center and The Historic Masonic Temple for helping us spread the word and connect with local musicians and artists. Your collaboration enriched our festival.

We are indebted to RU Marketing for designing our fabulous t-shirts and mascots, and to Socially Amaya Marketing & Design for managing our social media presence. Thanks to Tj’s Screen Printing for bringing our t-shirt designs to life.

Food and drink sponsors played a significant role in keeping our participants energized. Uptown Grill, Barquebc, Tex-Mex Grille, Water Street Nutrition, Live Oak Coffeehouse, and Excited Goat Coffee Company, your delicious offerings were a hit! Special thanks to Liquid Death for quenching our thirst.

Our festival was graced by talented hosts, speakers, and musicians who kept the energy alive: Breanna Graczyk, Christopher Girard, The Breaking Bread Village, Marlana Lane Cork, Anthony Malenfant, Bree Melton, Henry Walters, Merissa Faye Music, Emily Faber, Jared Gray, Bradley Corpus, Mintlights, and Ryan Bartlett. Your performances were a true highlight.

A heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to make this event run smoothly: Kenzie Rocchi, Laura Beth Hill, Dave Ketelhut, Ryan Witherspoon, Joe Pastula, Ryan B. Your commitment to our cause is inspiring.

We want to give special recognition to Jason from J&J Express Home Improvement and Dave and Greg from Cahoots Country Dance Club, LLC, for their invaluable support during the event.

Let's not forget the Rolling Thrones team for providing the luxurious portal potty experience – a festival essential that often goes unnoticed.

A big shoutout to our vendors – approximately 50 strong – who made our festival vibrant and diverse. We'll be tagging you all in future posts to give you the recognition you deserve.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all the photographers who captured the magic, and to Good Morning Mid Michigan for helping us spread the word about this event.

This mural is just the beginning. Let's keep moving, keep transforming, and continue to celebrate the power of community and creativity. Together, we can achieve amazing things.
