Volunteer Coordinator
Job Summary:
United We Go is seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a pivotal role in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for our various programs and events, including the City of Mural Community Festival, I AM Youth Fashion Show, and United We Go Annual Celebration.
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment:

Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse backgrounds.

Collaborate with community partners, schools, and local organizations to expand the volunteer network.
Onboarding and Training:

Conduct orientation sessions for new volunteers, ensuring they are familiar with the organization's mission, values, and specific programs.

Provide training to volunteers on their roles and responsibilities.
Scheduling and Coordination:

Develop and maintain a volunteer schedule for each program or event.

Communicate effectively with volunteers, providing clear instructions and necessary information.
Recognition and Retention:

Implement a recognition program to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of volunteers.

Develop strategies to retain volunteers by creating a positive and inclusive volunteer experience.
Evaluation and Reporting:

Collect feedback from volunteers and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of volunteer programs.

Prepare regular reports on volunteer engagement and impact for organizational review.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Previous experience in volunteer coordination or management.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of volunteers and community members.

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
